Enjoy strolling around wearing a Yukata (summer kimono). It is fun to visit outdoor hot springs and see townscapes. Fill up your bellies with this castle town’s most famous “Izushi Buckwheat Soba Noodles.” Takeda Castle Ruins are known as the castle in the sky throughout Japan.

DAY1
Kinosaki Onsen is famous for its hot springs throughout Japan. Here is an onsen town along the Ōtani River. You will experience seven different hot springs; Ichi no Yu, Gosho no Yu, Mandara Yu, Sato no Yu, Yanagi Yu, Jizo Yu, Kou no Yu! Enjoy wearing a traditional Japanese yukata (summer kimono) as you walk around.

DAY2
Izushi is a castle town which is often referred to as Little Kyoto. You will find a long orange Torii gateway, much like the ones found at Fushimi Inari in Kyoto at the stairs of the Izushi Castle Ruins. You will enjoy exploring around the historical townscape with Izushi Sara Soba (buckwheat soba noodles) restaurants and souvenir shops.

Takeda Castle Ruins are a designated National Historic Site. The astonishing stone walls and the townscape viewed from the mountaintop is the best of all. These stone walls are made by piling up natural rocks. You will see the skills of stonemasons from that time. Enjoy the remodeled cafes, houses, and retro shops on Teramachi-dori with a stone-paved path and white walls (near the station).
