The northern part of the Kansai region is rich in scenic locations and natural hot springs, such as Kinosaki Onsen and Amanohashidate, one of the famous “Nihon Sankei” (Three Most Scenic Spots in Japan). The area is about 2–3 hours from Osaka and Kyoto by limited express train. There are eight different sightseeing taxi courses that will allow you to get around the sightseeing locations in this area (called “Tajima”) at a reasonable price.
